The Eastbridge Dance Troupe won first place in the Rizal Private Schools Association (RIPRISA) during the competition held at the Sumulong Memorial Junior College in Taytay last last September 13, 2019.
Eastbridge which represented the municipality of Rodriguez in the said competition is one of the twelve municipalities which participated. Second place went to Cainta and third place to Antipolo.
It was a sweet victory for Eastbridge which had two other previous trips to the said competition in the past without getting any place at all. The competition organizers strictly monitored the length of each performance and Eastbridge almost exceeded the time limit when their number stopped with only one second to spare in the clock. Later it was learned though that even if the team exceeded the time limit, the overall score obtained by the Eastbridge dancers was enough to cover the deduction and still win with a comfortable margin.
The performance which was the fourth among the twelve was applauded at various intervals by most members of the audience, not just the supporters, giving an early sign that the dance troupe would bag the championship.
Eastbridge Dance Troupe will represent the province of Rizal in the NAPSPHIL regional competition to be held in Batangas City on September 28, 2019.
One of the desired goals of Eastbridge School is to instill the idea on the parents that the education of their kids are not the sole responsibility of the school. Being in the academe for twenty years now, the administrators of the school deem that this is a necessary element for a successful learning experience especially in the preschool level. For what is education if not the preparation for life? A person who is trained to only prepare for work in adulthood has only prepared for half of what life is all about. Others may even argue that most of life is interaction with other people. For isn't work even also mostly comprised of this? Thus, it is of the utmost importance that the training that the kids get in a learning institution must touch on this major element.
